I am exhausted!!
We just got home now...The bus ride took forever but we knew it would. What a turn around from the bus ride up to Havasu. On the ride up everyone was drinking and standing in the aisles hooting and hollering and on the way back almost everyone was passed out sleeping. It was really funny.
Last night we cabbed it to the Double Down for the show but we spent most of the time outside talking with everyone else. It was insanely smoky in there so much so that you had to go outside every few minutes to let your eyes rest.
We left around 12:30 this afternoon. Rob got up early and went down to Mamacita's to get some grub to help us break our diets some more. More chicken fingers and grilled cheese for me and a burrito for him. We ate some and packed up, I had showered and done most of the packing while he was gone. We headed for the bus, where I told Rob that if I ever expressed interest in doing something like this again he was to remind me that I was 30 years old. We loaded up our stuff on the bus and headed to the small store near Mamacita's to get water, ice cream and soda. After a small wait while everyone sucked in as much nicotine as they could possibly get we headed out. We only had two stops but it still took forever to get home. Everyone was sleeping but the bus had a VCR and someone kept supplying videotapes of tv shows and movies and the volume was insanely high. I'm guessing these people were just so hungover and sleep deprived that they could have slept through anything. Not me. I have to have white noise or I can't sleep. So awake I stayed while watching Grosse Point Blank, Mr Show and Better of Dead(it was a John Cusak fest!) It really wasn't bad compared to a regular ride home. I couldn't sleep but at least I was distracted enough to make the time faster.
Oh! Buffy's on! Woohoo!
I've got a bunch of pictures but I haven't the energy to go about uploading them right now.
Overall, I had a really good time...it was just too much too fast. And it was with a bunch of people I didn't know. The only people I knew well were Brian and Rob and it made it weird. All the people were very nice and we got to know some of them but it wasn't until the end so it didn't really count. I guess if we were to do it again I would prefer for us to drive up on our own and meet everyone at the hotel. I just don't like being at the mercy of 40 other people. Having to leave when they leave...being on a schedule. I hate that. The problem is that I know Rob loves it because he isn't driving. The whole way up whenever anything happened, Rob turned to me and said "Hey, I don't care, I'm not driving!"
Okay, I think I'm out for the night. It's way late since I started this and I am too tired. I'll post pics tomorrow if I get the chance.
